Lebanon’s Second Climate Reporting Review

Lebanon is one of the few developing countries to submit its second Biennial Update Report (BURII) , and has consequently undergone the International Consultation and Analysis (ICA) where a team of experts review the climate information’s transparency and completeness . Lebanon sees great value in this process as it helps identify priority areas for improvement.

COP24 Outcomes

The 24th Conference of Parties (COP 24) was held in Katowice, Poland, last December where around 23,000 delegates met to negotiate and adopt the Paris Agreement Rulebook, which is the operating manual needed to implement the global deal in 2020.

Cartagena Dialogue in Beirut

Lebanon hosted the 21st Cartagena Dialogue for Progressive Action meeting in Beirut on the 27th and 28th of September 2017 in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Beirut. Over 60 participants from 35 countries attended the climate change meeting to discuss the way forward to COP 23 which was held in Bonn, Germany.
